Mobile assembly and supply platforms for aircraft Construction
by HUBTEX
HUBTEX assembly and work platforms are used in various work steps within the aircraft assembly. They reliably bring the fitters and the material to the desired position on the fuselage.
Self-propelled, omnidirectional freight elevators
HUBTEX EPL assembly and work platforms are used in various work steps within aircraft construction. They reliably bring the fitters and the material to the desired position. These self-propelled, omnidirectional freight elevators with load capacities up to 5 tons are electrically driven and can be controlled via radio remote control or workstand. The vehicles are optionally available with slow and line-moving functions. Optionally, the vehicle can be manufactured in a 2-mast or 3-/4-mast version. The advantage of the 4-mast lift system is that one part of the platform remains firmly positioned on the aircraft, while the other part functions as a goods elevator. All vehicles of this type are prepared for automation in AGV operation.
SAFE LOAD LIFT
With a mobile assembly and supply platform from HUBTEX, even heavy loads can be lifted safely and reliably. Thanks to the individual mast configuration, the platforms can be adapted to the different lifting requirements of our customers. This always refers to the respective application requirements on site.
Features
The advantage of the 4-mast lift system is that one part of the platform remains firmly positioned on the aircraft, while the other part functions as a goods elevator. A lift height of up to 6.5 m can be achieved.
The vehicles are fitted with robust polyurethane tires, allowing them to carry heavy loads. Small wheel diameters enable low ground clearance.
The EPL vehicles are operated by means of a remote control. A customer-specific HMI display helps the operator to drive the vehicle. The system provides information on the general operating status, but also has assistance systems such as distance control.
With the aid of partially automated laser scanners, the vehicle can be optimally aligned with its target object, for example an aircraft fuselage or work platform, with no collisions.
Laser scanners facilitate collision-free positioning and collision-free handling of the vehicle.
A laser system prevents the risk of hitting a person or an object when the supply platform is being lowered. If a warning signal is detected, the platform switches off automatically.
Access authorization for driving the vehicle is granted via a customer-specific control system, for example via a barcode scanner.
A human-machine interface provides information about the vehicle’s essential operating information. This provides the driver with information on the battery charge status, vehicle diagnoses, service intervals or risk situations. At the same time, the HMI display enables the integration of assistance systems, such as maintaining distances.
Through the use of lithium-ion batteries, users benefit from the long operating times and from a quick return on investment due to the significantly reduced incidental and consequential costs. The use of exchange batteries can usually be dispensed with in these cases. Batteries can fully recharge within one hour. With advancements in energy regeneration, lithium-ion batteries absorb energy flows fed back from the vehicle.
