20 years of trust: Ratheau relies on the reliability of HUBTEX multidirectional forklifts

The Ratheau Group, a family business steeped in tradition, has equipped its new site in Conflans-Sainte Honorine, near Paris, with multidirectional forklifts from its long-standing partner HUBTEX. These trucks enable loads of timber up to 13 metres long to be transported and stored reliably and efficiently in narrow aisles. Thanks to the high load capacity and manoeuvrability of the HUBTEX trucks, Ratheau is able to optimize the space available and thus considerably improve its storage logistics.

The Ratheau Group is a French family business that has been supplying joiners, interior designers, landscapers and other professionals using wood since 1852. With 180 employees, the group operates eleven sites. The most recent site was inaugurated in 2020, in Conflans-Sainte Honorine. On moving to the new site, Ratheau had to make the best possible use of the available storage space. The challenge was to store or transport long loads of timber, up to 13 metres long and weighing several tonnes, in narrow aisles and high racks.

All good things come in threes: safety, ease of use and manoeuvrability

‘When we moved to our new site in Conflans-Sainte Honorine, we didn't want to part with the forklift we were using in the old warehouse. But when we heard about the advantages, long load carrying capacities and high manoeuvrability of HUBTEX's multidirectional forklifts, we no longer wanted to use a forklift for loading and unloading lorries and handling loads in the warehouse’, explains Laurent Bouniol, Operations Manager at Conflans-Sainte Honorine.

Twelve HUBTEX multidirectional forklifts are currently in use at the family firm's various sites. Due to the success of this collaboration, Ratheau has also decided to invest in HUBTEX trucks for its new site in Conflans-Sainte Honorine. Three new HUBTEX multidirectional forklifts are now in service at Conflans-Sainte Honorine: two MQ 50s and one MAXX 45. Ratheau is particularly impressed by the ease of use, the reliability of load transport and the ability to load and unload lorries quickly and easily.

The MQ 50 multidirectional forklifts have a load capacity of 3.8 tonnes and can handle long, heavy loads reliably and efficiently. With a lifting height of up to 8.5 metres and patented 360° HX steering, they offer great manoeuvrability and efficient use of space. Integrated camera systems ensure safety when loading and unloading loads of timber at height.

The MAXX 45 has a load capacity of 4.5 tonnes and a lifting height of up to 7.5 metres. It is ideally suited to transporting even heavier loads. Multidirectional steering and a camera display on the HIT (Hubtex Information Terminal) multifunction screen enhance operating comfort and safety.

A good start; an even better finish

Laurent Bouniol explains: ‘We have been working with HUBTEX for 20 years and decided to continue our collaboration with this company, because it is renowned for the reliability of its forklifts, the excellent availability of its after-sales service and its speed of reaction.

Thanks to HUBTEX solutions, Ratheau can organise its storage logistics efficiently and meet the high demands of its customers. The multidirectional trucks proved to be the ideal solution for optimally equipping the new site in Conflans-Sainte Honorine and considerably improving the efficiency of handling long and heavy timber loads.
