Multidirectional forklift for handling gutters and pipes

Michael Worahnik GmbH has been one of the leading suppliers of tinsmith products in Austria for 50 years. To achieve this, the company has had to consistently ensure a high level of quality and good customer service. The company operates its headquarters in Köttlach with a 5000m2 warehouse. Around 8,000 different items are stored here on Euro pallets as well as special pallets for gutters and drainpipes up to 6 meters in length. In 2014, the existing warehouse was redesigned to ensure even more efficient handling of these goods. Since then, a DS27 multidirectional forklift from Hubtex has been in use.

Why was another multidirectional forklift needed?

Another multidirectional forklift was needed for the new construction of a 3,000 m² warehouse. The warehouse is equipped with several mobile racks that require a greater lifting height. Another multidirectional forklift truck was ideal for handling long and bulky goods even in narrow aisles. As a Hubtex truck had already been in successful use for several years, it quickly became clear that it should be a Hubtex truck again.

What is the solution?

A Hubtex DQ30 (Basix) proved to be the perfect solution for the required application profile. The DQ30 has a load capacity of 3 tons and can handle the new racking thanks to its lifting height of 6.5 meters. The special Secutex support is located on the wheel arms to protect the goods. To enable a narrow design, the truck was equipped with a stand-on cab. Overall, it is very maneuverable and offers the driver good all-round visibility.
Handling long gutters and drainpipes in narrow aisles is no problem with this multidirectional forklift.
