Energy savings with a HUBTEX Order Picking Platform
Hubtex vehicle for aluminum handling
The export share at Blecha is a stately 50 percent. 70 employees serve customers in 60 countries. No less than 20 to 30 tons of aluminum are moved daily: pipes, profiles, fence systems, fittings and rods. The long goods warehouse contains more than 2200 different aluminum profiles, tubes and rods, mainly in a length of 6 m and special lengths up to 18 m. "A Blecha specialty is the fast delivery of special dimensions and products," says managing director and authorized signatory Michaela Bauer. "It was a busy journey until we got this far. We want to maintain and expand this position. The production of special products, e.g. thin aluminum round tubes for foam rollers for a bakery, sausage slat profiles for a butcher or special profiles for LEDs in lighting construction. "
Blecha has four high-bay warehouses with side and forklift operation, two block storage halls for forklift and crane operations, and a small parts pallet magazine, which is fed by front-end forklift trucks at its site in Neunkirchen. Logistics Manager Stefan Blecha explains: "We profit from the speed with which goods are handled, both through state-of-the-art equipment and through motivated and well-trained employees." Unusually for the metal industry, two-thirds of the employees are women. "The faster we can move the goods within the company, the faster the customer and the more satisfied the customer is." His siblings also work in various functions within the company: Beate Heck works as a sales representative in Germany and Bernhard Blecha is responsible for the Maintenance management.
Blecha's uncompromising emphasis on sustainable quality is also evident in the selection of the logistics fleet: Blecha relies on Hubtex for its side loaders and order picking equipment.
All trucks undergo maintenance at regular intervals and are always in perfect technical condition. Result: The Hubtex VD 25 electric multi-directional sideloader is in use for almost 20 years.
Michael Schulz, technical sales at Hubtex, looks back: "The older devices are also accepted by the drivers and are in daily use - proof of the quality and reliability of our products." He has been supporting Blecha for many years and sees the company as a demanding customer , "Before a device is purchased, experience from the existing forklift fleet is collected and requirements defined. The decision makers then discuss the technical details and discuss innovations that could be of interest, e.g. safety, handling and / or comfort. "
Order picker and multi directional sideloader
In the meantime, a total of seven Hubtex units form the heart of picking and parcel logistics. In the lower levels of the cantilever racking system, the parcel logistics, and for loading the racks, the Hubtex electric multi-directional sideloader are in use. Picking basket stackers reach the higher-level items and carry out the inventory. Interesting detail on the side and typical for Blecha: To get the lightest possible basket for fast, energy-saving strokes, Blecha had a special design made, of course, made of aluminum.
